The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned on Tuesday, October 15, for the first time since 2019. And when the hiatus broke, the famed fashion show brought back some runway legends.

Adriana Lima and Bella Hadid were among those who graced the runway on Tuesday night, but Tyra Banks also had everyone talking.

Banks’ appearance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show marked her first appearance on the Victoria’s Secret runway in 19 years, and following her runway slot, fans took to social media to share their reactions.

In a post shared by ComplexInstagram page Banks, 50, walks the catwalk with confidence, wearing a black bustier and leggings, complete with a large, flowing coat. However, viewers did not hold back their criticism.

Many fans remembered Banks’ days as host of America’s next top modelas some have retroactively viewed Banks’ previous feedback against other models as body-shaming.

One person in the comments on Instagram said they “want the old one (Banks) to criticize her new one as honestly as she criticized all those other girls.”

Because Banks’ appearance has changed significantly over the course of nearly two decades—as is common with aging—some commentators noted that such changes would not have materialized if the banks of the late 1990s and early 2000s had adopted the had been in charge. .
