A serious car crash closed Interstate 95 south in North Hampton, New Hampshire, on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Traffic heading toward Massachusetts was diverted off the highway at Exit 3 and police said two lanes toward Maine were also closed.

Police did not say if anyone was injured, but they urged motorists to avoid the area if they could, and to expect delays if not.
