FORECAST SUMMARY

Highs will only be in the 50s through the low 60s Thursday. More freezing nights will also follow (although if there is sufficient wind overnight, this will prevent frost from forming). With the exception of isolated showers in higher elevations to the north and west over the next few days, we will gradually see more sunshine later in this stretch, with a return of mild temperatures over the weekend.

Unseasonably cold air will continue to move into the area through Thursday. The November-like temperatures will be the big talking point for the weather. At night, lows will drop to the mid-30s and frost is possible again.

END OF THE WEEK ON THE WEEKEND

As we close out the week, temperatures should slowly return to closer to seasonal levels. Strong high pressure will build from the west and park itself on top of the region Thursday and Friday. This will lead to more dry weather with lots of sunshine, and the wind will really start to decrease. Additionally, while mornings will start out chilly in the 30s, afternoon high temperatures should climb back into the mid and upper 60s by Friday. Warming will continue into the weekend as high pressure remains firmly under control, leading to dry conditions with plenty of sunshine. Look for highs to return to at least 70 degrees on Saturday and likely to at least the low 70s on Sunday.
