Oklahoma high school football fans enjoyed a series of action-packed games over the past week. With half of the season in the rearview mirror, teams are competing harder than ever to secure solid ground in the postseason. The On3 Massey ratings were adjusted for each outcome.

The On3 Massey Reviews – which were officially used during the BCS era and have generated rankings of high school sports teams since 1995 – rank sports teams by analyzing game results, strength of schedule and margin of victory.

For the sixth week in a row, only two Oklahoma schools appeared in the Top 50 of On3’s national high school football rankings. No school ranked higher than the Bixby Spartans, who improved to No. 14 in the country and remained No. 1 in the Sooner State.

On Friday, Bixby showed no mercy Edmond Northwalking away with an 85-24 win. In the dominant performance, Bixby quarterback Carson Kirby completed 19 of 23 passes for 231 yards and five touchdowns.

Owasso improved to 6-0 on the season with a convincing 55-0 win over Westmoore on Friday. Westmoore had no answers for wide receiver Owasso Tae Bethelwho collected three touchdowns and 167 receiving yards on just four receptions in the win.

Union improved one spot in the Oklahoma High School Football Rankings this week after a handy loss Norman North 56-27. Union is declining Tayveon Parry-Speight stole the show, collecting 231 rushing yards and four touchdowns in the triumph.

Jenks earned his second straight victory on Friday after a slow start to the season. In the Trojans’ 45-13 win against Mustang, running back Jenks KD Jones was electric, generating 208 rushing yards and three scores.

Carl Albert played on Thursday instead of Friday last week, but the result was the same. The Titans have been taken down Noble 54-7 to improve to 6-0 on the season. In the win, kicker Carl Albert Ethan Spiwak made a 51-yard field goal in the second quarter to break the program record for most career field goals.

On Friday, Deer Creek escaped with a hard-fought 30-20 victory over Moore. The win puts Deer Creek at 6-0 for the first time in twenty years. As usual, Deer Creek QB Grady Adamson was a showstopper, recording 187 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while also collecting 53 yards and a score on the ground.

Lincoln Christian strolled to a 63-20 victory Grasshopper forest on Friday evening. The Bulldogs offense was unstoppable and totaled 665 yards. Junior QB Carter Ricke led the way, completing 18 of 23 passes for 419 yards and five touchdowns.

Muskogee continues to run through its opponents, with the latest casualty Bartlesville. In the blow of 55-0, Muskogee quarterback Jamarian Ficklin could do no wrong and threw six touchdowns, four of which came in Ondraye Beasley‘s hands.

On Friday, Norman High posted a 49-7 beatdown Enid. Normandy quarterback Phoenix Murphy was spectacular, throwing four touchdowns in the victory. Three of those touchdowns were for 30 or more yards. Run back Anthony Johnson also added more than 100 rushing yards to the Tigers’ winning effort.

Memorial moved up one spot in the Oklahoma High School Football Rankings this week after a comfortable 38-0 win over Yukon on Friday night. Defense was key for the Bulldogs, who picked off Yukon’s quarterback twice in the red zone.
