Once a fan favorite in Britain in the 1980s, Mcdonald’s McRib has returned and if you live in Somerset you can try it today.

Normally I don’t like to highlight chain restaurants like McDonald’s in my reviews, and with their prices these days I would recommend you just go to a restaurant or better yet, prepare a healthy meal at home that has won It doesn’t cost a bomb.

But since I needed that late night cheat meal, I decided to see what all the fuss was about since I had never tried a “McRib” before.

As I drove to the drive-thru at Heron Gate in Taunton, I saw numerous advertisements for this new meal option, along with other promotions McDonald’s had.

This included a Marshmellow latte, a Halloween M&M McFlurry and a Toffee Apple Pie.

I opted for a medium meal with the McRib and went to the counter to pay.

I was shocked to see that a meal with this burger (which, when you see it, you might be a little surprised at) cost £6.99.

In the McRib, a boneless rib meat patty is accompanied by onions, pickles and barbecue sauce, all in a sliced ​​bun. and a drink.

Now I don’t go to McDonalds often, but I still feel like the price of the meal is a bit high for what you get.

The McRib returned to McDonald’s across the UK yesterday, including restaurants in Somerset, but is it actually tasty?

According to reports, McDonald’s staff have undergone special training in handling the McRib, which is cooked on the left plate of the quarter grill.

This avoids the transfer of juices to the middle plate, which is intended for cooking beef.

I didn’t have the luxury of trying the sandwich in the 1980s, so let me know if it’s different, but this was just a bit disappointing.

The burger barely had any BBQ sauce, but luckily I added some to it which made it taste a little better.

The taste was okay, but if I had to choose again I would just go for something else or cook something at home.

I also barely had any onion or pickles, which isn’t great if you’re looking for more flavor.

Let me know if you’re thinking of giving it a try. I’d say try it as the taste isn’t bad, but the presentation leaves a lot to be desired and the fact that I had to add my own sauce wasn’t great.

When previously asked if the McRib would never make a permanent return, McDonald’s said: “Unfortunately, many of our restaurants do not have enough grilling capacity to prepare pork and beef products at the same time.

“The breakfast menu is different because we do not serve beef products, so we have a dedicated grill for all our delicious pork products.”

I wish I had just ordered the Marshmellow latte to be honest.
