West Indian Women 52/4 in 11.2 overs | West Indies vs New Zealand live score, Women’s World Cup second semi-final: Eden Carson’s triple strike puts New Zealand on top

West Indies vs New Zealand Live Score, Semi-Final 2 Women’s T20 World Cup: New Zealand and West Indies, both considered underdogs, have defied expectations by beating the favorites in their respective groups and now face each other in a crucial semi-final.

The winner will secure a place in the final, a stage New Zealand have not reached since runners-up in 2009 and 2010, while the West Indies’ only last appearance was their title win in 2016.

Notably, the West Indies defeated New Zealand in the 2016 semi-final, adding another layer of motivation for the White Ferns to reverse that result and bid farewell to their senior players on a high note. Likewise, West Indies will look to give their own departing veterans a befitting farewell.

New Zealand demonstrated their meticulous planning and execution in their opening match against India, using tactics and match-ups devised over a year ago.

Despite a setback against Australia, they quickly regrouped to beat Sri Lanka and secure a crucial win against Pakistan to advance to the semi-finals.

West Indies, on the other hand, had a rough start, suffering a 10-wicket loss to South Africa in their first match. However, they made a remarkable comeback and achieved three consecutive victories.

After comfortably beating Scotland and Bangladesh, they faced a daunting task against England, a team they had not beaten in T20Is since 2019, on a 13-match losing streak.

Undeterred, the West Indies approached the match with “a lot of hearts and a lot of fighting”, eventually gaining the upper hand and securing their place in the next round.
