According to multiple reports, former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested in Tennessee during the evening hours of October 17.

According to WGNTV, Cutler was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, failure to exercise due care, violation of the implied consent law and possession of a gun while intoxicated.

Cutler was booked into the Williamson County Jail. Later that evening, he was released after posting $5,000 bail, TMZ reported.

After starting their relationship in 2013, Cutler married reality star and business owner Kristin Cavallari. They welcomed three children before divorcing in 2022.

Part of their life together was showcased in their reality show ‘Very Cavallari’.

Cutler retired from the NFL in 2017 after playing 12 years for the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins.

Although neither Cutler nor Cavallari often discuss their co-parenting arrangements publicly, Cavallari noted a recent change in their custody agreement during her podcast.

During the Oct. 1 episode of the “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, Cavallari discussed the end of her most recent relationship with TikTok star Mark Estes when she noted that she was happy to be able to focus on her children and work after recent life changes.

According to Cavallari, not only did her relationship with Estes change, but so did her custody agreement with Cutler.

“When I was dating last fall, I still had shared custody with my ex and had every other week off from my kids,” Cavallari explained. But “that has changed,” she added.

“So I’m very happy and very satisfied that my life now revolves around my children and my work.”

Cavallari did not elaborate on her new custody agreement with Cutler.

Since October 18, Cutler has not shared a public statement following his arrest.
