    Mega Millions winning numbers for 10/18/24: $185 million jackpot

    The Mega Millions jackpot continued to grow Friday, reaching an estimated $185 million for the drawing after no one claimed the top prize on Tuesday.

    The winning numbers were drawn just after 11pm on Friday and we have the results below.

    In March, a lucky Mega Millions player from New Jersey won a whopping $1.1 billion. While that prize has not yet been claimed, the lottery says it is not the first time a jackpot has gone unclaimed.

    If someone gets the lucky ticket to Friday night’s $185 million jackpot, he/she can take home a lump sum of $88 million after taxes, according to the lottery.

    How do you play the Mega Millions?

    To play you must choose six numbers. Five numbers are white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The gold Mega Ball is one number between 1 and 25.

    If you think the odds are against you, ask for a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick.” The computer will randomly generate the numbers for you.

    Players can add the “Megaplier” for $1, which can increase non-top prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays before the Mega Millions numbers.
