Will there be a fourth season? The Lincoln Lawyer?

Netflix has not yet confirmed a fourth season of the series The Lincoln Lawyer. The streamer will likely wait to see how well season 3 does before deciding to renew the show, just as it did with the third season after season 2 was released.

The series’ showrunners, Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, recently spoke with TV Insider about what Mickey’s next chapter could look like.

“We always set up some kind of next business of the season. This won’t really form the basis for the next case, but it will certainly form the basis for the next book,” said Rodriguez. Humphrey added: “I think we can say that this season will definitely propel us towards a Season 4 in a very exciting and personal way.”

The good news is that the showrunners are optimistic about the future of the show. They expressed a desire to adapt all the books in Michael Connelly’s series, with Rodriguez teasing that they “might even go further” with additional books that could be added to the series.

“Michael hints he may be working on another one Lincoln Lawyer book that goes beyond the books already published,” Humphrey revealed. “We don’t know for sure. If he is working on it, we would of course like to read it. We have internal plans to adjust the versions of all books.” But both are quick to point out that it depends on the audience. “If the audience continues to enjoy what we do, then we will continue to make the show.”

Their plans also include “an idea of where we would go for a possible season 5 and even 6 beyond that,” Humphrey continued.

Regarding the shocking cliffhanger at the end of season three, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo told Today.com that Mickey has “great people who can help him” if he has to go to trial.

“I think he and Lorna would be a perfect couple to defend him,” he said. He also mentioned Mickey’s first wife, Maggie, and “Even Andy… I mean, he has good people.”
