Oklahoma State entered the season as a trendy pick to win the Big 12. Instead, BYU enters this matchup as a contender to earn an automatic bid into the CFP.

The Cougars (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) are tied with Iowa State and Texas Tech at the top of the conference standings.

Nebraska in Indiana (afternoon)

It’s no surprise that Oregon and Penn State are tough foes on Ohio State’s schedule, but the Huskers and Hoosiers have established themselves as sneaky contenders in the Big Ten.

With Michigan struggling, Indiana or Nebraska could provide the toughest home game for Ohio State this year.

Miami at Louisville (afternoon)

Miami is worth watching, and not just because the Hurricanes are the favorite to win the ACC.

The loser between Alabama and Tennessee could be in danger of missing the CFP.

Michigan at Illinois (3:30 p.m.)

Michigan has been ranked in the AP Poll every week since the start of the 2021 season. That could change on Sunday if the No. 24 Wolverines lose to the Illini.

LSU at Arkansas (7 p.m.)

LSU reinserted itself into the CFP conversation after a thrilling win against Ole Miss on Saturday. Will that win put the Tigers in danger of an upset this week?

Arkansas is undefeated at home, highlighted by a 19-14 win against Tennessee on Oct. 5.

Georgia at Texas (7:30 p.m.)

Georgia’s trip to Texas is circled on the calendar for college football fans. With a win, Texas will have control of the SEC. A defeat would give Georgia two losses by mid-October.

However, a UGA win shakes up the SEC race and gives the Big Ten a chance to take the top spot in the national rankings.

UCF at Iowa State (7:30 p.m.)

Like BYU, Iowa State has emerged from the Big 12 as a serious threat. The Cyclones haven’t played in a one-possession game since their Sept. 7 win at Iowa.
