Early voting in Las Vegas begins Saturday. Here’s what you need to know.

Saturday, Oct. 19 is the first day of early voting in Clark County for the 2024 general election.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, but voters have two weeks until Friday, November 1 to cast their ballot in person.

HOW DO I VOTE?

The early voting process is the same for Election Day voting. Your eligibility and signature will be verified upon arrival. After confirmation you will receive a card with which you can activate the voting machine.

You go to an electronic voting machine with a touchscreen, insert the card and cast your vote. There will be a printed version of your ballot that you can check for accuracy.

I received a mail ballot. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you have not opted out of receiving a mail-in ballot and wish to vote in person, you must return your ballot to the voting center or confirm that you are not voting twice in the same election.

CAN I SUBMIT A POSTAL VOTE?

All early voting locations will also serve as ballot drop-off locations.

You can deliver a signed envelope containing your ballot and drop it in a mailbox.

You can use the Clark County Elections Website to verify your registration status.

If you would like to register to vote or update your status, you can do so online or in person at an early voting site.

Same-day registration requires a valid Nevada driver’s license or identification card. If your ID does not show your current address, you must provide valid proof of residence and you can only vote on a provisional ballot. Visit the Clark County Elections Department website for a list of items accepted as proof of residence.

A provisional ballot will be counted once your information has been verified and it has been determined that you have not voted more than once.

DMV offices in Nevada will have extended hours leading up to Election Day to help anyone who needs a new ID.
