    The USC Trojans looked poised to claim a rebound victory over Maryland after a heartbreaking loss to Penn State in Week 7.

    Instead, the Mid-Atlantic region has fallen victim to the Trojans for the second week in a row.

    USC led 21-7 at halftime, but collapsed in the second half and lost to the Terrapins. Maryland had entered the game 0-3 within the Big 10 and had just fallen to Northwestern the week before.

    Miller Moss was statistically solid, going 34 of 50 for 336 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, but the offense failed to score on their final three drives and allowed Maryland to squeeze back in.

    Fans took to social media to blast the Trojans and head coach Lincoln Riley, declaring that the team was not ready for the Big 10.

    In three of USC’s four losses this year, the Trojans gave up the winning touchdown in the final minute of regulation.
    The fourth defeat? To Penn State in overtime (after the game-tying TD with 2:53 left in the fourth quarter).

    Look, I think Lincoln Riley is a great offensive mind. But if USC wants to return to the glory days of Pete Carroll, they need to fire him. I’ll say it again. He tried to exploit the Pac12’s “weakness” and win a natty. It was a two-year plan with Caleb. It didn’t work. Simple.

    Lincoln Riley has been stormed in the field by Maryland and Minnesota. Welcome to the Big Ten.

    The loss drops USC to 3-4 and 1-4 in the conference. The team is in danger of falling into bowl contention and has now lost three straight games.

    The schedule doesn’t appear to be getting any easier going forward, as four of the five remaining games are against teams currently above .500, with a late-season matchup against No. 12 Notre Dame looking particularly intimidating .

    If USC fails to turn the page quickly, Riley could see his tenure out as the program quickly comes to an end.
