The New York Mets’ whirlwind run in the 2024 MLB Playoffs continues (and possibly ends) tonight with Game 5 of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Keep reading to learn everything you need to know about how to watch the Dodgers vs. can view Mets.

It’s the final stop before the World Series, which pits the top four teams in MLB against each other in the League Championship Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets kicked off the National League Championship on Sunday with a 9-0 victory for the Dodgers. The Mets fought back with a 7-3 victory on Monday, but the Dodgers took the lead again on Wednesday with an 8-0 victory and on Thursday with a 10-2 win.

It’s a best-of-seven series, but this will be the last game if the Dodgers win again. But it’s hard to discount the Mets after a very impressive, if not surprising, postseason that saw the team consistently beat its best players just one year after failing to clinch a Playoff spot. This year, the team defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in the Wild Card round and the Philadelphia Phillies in the Division Series. Getting through the Dodgers could be tough, though, as the LA team has the best 2024 season record of any Major League Baseball team, with a whopping 98 wins this year.

How to watch the Dodgers vs. Mets in the US

Game 5 of the Dodgers-Mets game will air on Fox Sports 1 (FS1). Cord cutters can stream the game live via a monthly package like Sling TV, DirecTV Stream or Fubo.

With plans starting at $40 per month, Sling is the cheapest option tonight. FS1 is available as part of Sling’s Blue subscription, which includes 43 live channels including US, the NFL Network and select local channels. Sling usually has an introductory offer where users’ first month gets about half off. Tonight you can get your first month for just $15.

Sling TV Showcase

Sling TV subscription

For just the essentials without the extra fluff, Sling TV is the streaming service you’re looking for. It’s more customizable than other plans, with three options to choose from so you only pay for what you need. New members get $25 off their first month.

DirecTV Stream and Fubo are two other live TV packages that include FS1 and other live channel offerings. They are more expensive than Sling, but offer more channel options. DirecTV Stream prices start at $87 per month, but you can try the service for free for five days. Fubo plans start at $80 per month and offer a one-week free trial. Fubo also gives $20 off your first month of service.

DirectTV stream

DirecTV Stream, formerly known as AT&T TV, offers streaming access to a large selection of live channels, including most of the major networks typically found in traditional cable packages.

FuboTv Showcase

Fubo Pro subscription

Fubo is the streaming service for sports fans. Its vast library of channels includes regional and international sports competitions, setting it apart from the competition. You can also add additional programming to your plan, but this will cost you extra.

Should the Mets win and the series advance to Game 6, FS1 will also broadcast the game. If the Mets win again and force a Game 7, FOX will host. All three streaming options we recommended above include both channels, so you might be ready for the rest of the National League Championship Series no matter how far it goes. However, Sling’s local channel coverage varies from region to region, so you may have to look elsewhere for FOX depending on where you are. Fortunately, it can be as simple as buying a new antenna. How to watch the Dodgers vs. You can watch Mets anywhere

Baseball fans traveling from home can still watch the game using a VPN (virtual private network), which allows users to change the virtual location of their device, meaning they can access their usual websites and subscriptions from anywhere. It is also a direct way to increase online security. Because the services we recommend require US payment methods, this option works best for Americans traveling outside the US.

ExpressVPN is an easy-to-use option for the VPN uninitiated. It’s our top pick, which we outline in our ExpressVPN review, and also comes with a hassle-free 30-day money-back guarantee.
