Patrick Mahomes stared at the 49ers defender after taking him into the end zone

Patrick Mahomes didn’t have much success in the air during the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the San Francisco 49ers, so he resorted to playing with his legs.

After giving the Chiefs excellent field position on a sensational 33-yard run, Mahomes finished the job himself by running it into the gut for six points and racing into the end zone.

However, it wasn’t a no-contact delivery for the star quarterback. Mahomes was met in front of the end zone by 49ers safety Malik Mustapha, but only one of them remained standing after a hard collision on the goal line. Mahomes drove straight through Mustapha into the end zone, and celebrated by staring coolly at his opponent.

Take a look at the two-time MVP’s tough performance.

And here’s another angle that shows just how strong the finishing was from number 15.

Mahomes delivered the snap during that run, which marked the third rushing touchdown of the game for Kansas City. It was Mahomes’ first rushing touchdown since Week 16 of the 2022 season, as he had gone 30 games (regular season and playoffs) without running one past the cones himself.
