As expected, Jets cornerbacks DJ Reed and Michael Carter II are out with injuries against the Steelers. Carter missed last week and most of the Jets Week 5 loss to the Vikings with injuries. Reed suffered a groin injury last week. Both are significant losses for the Jets secondary, especially since Reed performed as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL this season as rated by Pro Football Focus.

Without them, the Jets still have All-Pro corner Sauce Gardner and the fill-ins will be Brandin Echols (for Reed) and Isaiah Oliver (for Carter). Expect the Steelers and Russell Wilson to attack the secondary early and often tonight.

The other notable inactive is third-round rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley, a healthy scratch for the third straight week.
