Betting odds NFL Week 7 2024 – Jets-Steelers odds, picks, lines

The Week 7 Sunday slate concludes with a primetime matchup featuring Aaron Rodgers, new signing Davante Adams and the New York Jets traveling to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers on “Sunday Night Football.” The Steelers, starting Russell Wilson for the first time this season, enter Sunday’s game with a 4-2 record and in second place in the AFC North (+425), while the Jets are trailing their third straight loss have the back at 2-4, but after trading for Adams on Tuesday saw their Super Bowl odds increase (currently 30-1).

Here’s everything you need to know to bet on AFC’s primetime match, and Ben Solak also offers his top pick for Sunday night.

Ben Solak’s choice

Jets -2 at Steelers

While the Jets still lost to the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, their offense showed signs of improvement in the first game under new play-caller Todd Downing and new head coach Jeff Ulbrich. Now Davante Adams is coming to town, and I think the success will continue even in the face of a stingy Steelers pass rush. Expect Rodgers to get rid of the ball very quickly, with short routes and running backs making up the bulk of his targets to help neutralize that rush. The Jets are desperate for a win and the Steelers are making a QB switch with Russell Wilson. I have to lean Jets here.

  • Unders are 32-10 on Sunday Night Football since 2022, including 6-0 this season. All prime-time unders are 81-52-1 during that period.

  • The Jets have been underdogs in eleven consecutive meetings against the Steelers, including playoffs. The last time the Jets were favored over the Steelers was in 2003 (winning 6-0 as 3-point favorites). The Jets have played twelve games in Pittsburgh, including playoffs, and have been favored only once (1992: lost 27-10 as a 1.5-point favorite).

With the exception of the final week of the season, the only time in the last decade that a team with multiple games under .500 was favored over a team with multiple games over .500 was in 2016 (Chargers -2.5 at Texans, Chargers won 21-13). ).

  • The Steelers are 7-2 ATS in their last nine primetime games (0-2 ATS in the last two). The Jets are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 primetime games.

  • Unders are 13-2 in last 15 regular season meetings.

  • The Jets are 0-3 ATS in their last three games. Four of the last five Jets games have been under the total.
