Another Netflix hit series returns with a 100% score

Netflix is on a tear as 2024 comes to a close, while another of its biggest series just returned for a new season, debuting with a perfect 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

That would be so The Lincoln Lawyeran adaptation by the streamer of Michael Connelly’s book series about a resourceful lawyer who runs his LA practice from the backseat of a Lincoln. The show’s highly anticipated third season, starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as the charismatic leading man Mickey Haller, not only delivered a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score almost immediately; it’s also currently the No. 1 Netflix show in the US (and, even better, the season isn’t split into two parts this time, so you can binge all of Mickey’s new antics inside and outside the courtroom in one go).

That screening, by the way, follows the return of another major Netflix series just a few days earlier, Outdoor benchesof which the new season was also highly anticipated, which debuted with a 100% score from the critics.

Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyermeanwhile, is based on Connelly’s fifth book Lincoln Lawyer series, titled The gods of guilt. The plot is built around a text given to Mickey, which reads: “Call me ASAP – 187.” That song is a reference to California’s criminal code on murder, and it turns out the victim is a former client of Mickey’s – a sex worker he thought he had saved and who ended up on a better path.

Every new season of The Lincoln Lawyer quickly attracted tens of millions of viewers upon release, one of the many reasons why it seems pretty certain that Netflix has a blockbuster fourth quarter in store.

The end-of-year period will also mark the long-awaited return of Squid game as well as star-studded new dramas such as Black pigeons – plus two major live events, the rescheduled Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match on November 15, as well as two NFL games on Christmas Day. They are between the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Baltimore Ravens vs. the Houston Texans.
