Students in New York State can apply to up to five colleges in the State University of New York system without an application fee starting next week.

SUNY’s Free Application Week runs from October 21 to November 3 and offers students the opportunity to apply to colleges without paying the $50 application fee. The program, which SUNY has been running for the past two years, aims to help students save money and encourage them to apply as early as possible, said John B. King, the chancellor of the SUNY system.
