We’re in the home stretch, folks.

After months of speculation and predictions, and a few nail-biting series, the teams are ready for the 2024 World Series.

Game 1 of the Fall Classic begins on Friday, October 25 between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers reclaimed their spot in the series after inflicting a crushing loss on Sunday night against the New York Mets in Game 6 of the NLCS. Their World Series opponent had already been decided after the Yankees defeated the Cleveland Guardians in the ALCS in just five games.

Should the Yankees pull out the win, it would be their first World Series win since 2009. The Dodgers, meanwhile, only tasted glory a few years ago when they won the World Series in 2020.

This marks the twelfth time the two major organizations have faced off in the World Series, but their last meeting in the Fall Classic came in 1981.

Needless to say, the stakes are high.
