A report from ESPN indicates that Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams will be handed a two-game suspension for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

Williams told ESPN’s Eric Woodyard that he is in “good spirits” but has “no choice to take it on the chin.”

No specific substance is listed. A two-game suspension for PEDs is usually the result of a stimulant or masking agent and not steroid medications. Recreational drugs are a different category of suspensions than the NFL.

Williams will miss Detroit’s next two games, starting with the Week 8 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. He will also miss Detroit’s trip to Green Bay in Week 9.
