    Mega Millions winning numbers for 10/22/24: $205 million jackpot

    The Mega Millions jackpot rose to an estimated $205 million in Tuesday’s drawing after no one claimed the top prize on Friday.

    The winning numbers were drawn just after 11pm on Tuesday and we have the results below.

    In March, a lucky Mega Millions player from New Jersey won a whopping $1.1 billion. While that prize has not yet been claimed, the lottery says it is not the first time a jackpot has gone unclaimed.

    If someone gets the lucky ticket to Tuesday night’s $205 million jackpot, they could take home an estimated lump sum of $96.1 million after taxes, according to the lottery.

    How do you play the Mega Millions?

    To purchase a ticket, you’ll need to go to your local convenience store, gas station, or grocery store – and in a handful of states you can purchase tickets online.

    To play you must choose six numbers. Five numbers are white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The gold Mega Ball is one number between 1 and 25.

    If you think the odds are against you, ask for a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick.” The computer will randomly generate the numbers for you.

    Players can add the “Megaplier” for $1, which can increase non-top prize winnings two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn on Tuesdays and Fridays before the Mega Millions numbers.
