The Indianapolis Colts’ rival Tennessee Titans are reportedly trading wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This move comes as the Titans are currently 1-5 this season, while the Chiefs are 6-0 but need help at the wide receiver position.

The 2024 season was Hopkins’ second with the Titans. Last year, he was targeted 133 times and caught 75 of those passes for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns.

This season, Hopkins has caught 15 of 21 targets for 175 yards with one score. Against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, Hopkins caught four passes for 54 yards.

The next time the Colts face the Titans will be in Week 16 and in Indianapolis. At receiver, Tennessee still has Calvin Ridley, who was signed as a free agent this offseason to a four-year, $92 million deal.

At this time, neither the Titans nor the Chiefs have announced that the trade is official. There also hasn’t been any reporting on what Tennessee might get in return in terms of compensation from Kansas City.

Hopkins is a former first-round selection of the Houston Texans in the 2013 NFL draft. Over his career, he has racked up nearly 13,000 receiving yards with 80 touchdowns, playing for Houston, Arizona and Tennessee.
