India vs New Zealand Live Score, 2nd Test IND vs NZ: New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat against India in the second Test of the three-match series on Thursday.

New Zealand made one change to their starting XI by bringing in left-arm spinner Mitchell Santer in place of injured pacer Matt Henry.

India have made three changes to the squad that featured in Bengaluru. Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav made way for Akash Deep, Washington Sundar and Shubman Gill.

New Zealand led the series 1–0.

New Zealand captain Tom Latham: We’re going to get a bat. Surface slightly different than last week. Not much grass. It could bring a bit of excitement, as we expect when we come to these parts of the world. Obviously a very proud moment for this group. We celebrated that, but our focus here quickly turned to Pune. It’s about adapting to this surface. I’m trying to take the trust we built last week with me. Matt Henry misses with a butt problem. Santner enters.

India captain Rohit Sharma: “Would have batted too. When you play a test match like that, the first session didn’t go the way we wanted. But we batted well in the second innings. We take a lot of positives from that and see how we can change. I always want to find ways to get back into the test match when you are behind. That’s what we did. The pitch is a bit drier, yes. We understand how important the first ten overs are, KL and Kuldeep are missing Akash Deep, Washington and Gill.
