Barcelona boss Hansi Flick was unsurprisingly full of praise for Raphinha after the Brazilian scored a hat-trick against Bayern on Wednesday evening.

Raphinha once again led by example as he continued his great form and led Barcelona to an impressive win in the Champions League.

Flick says he’s never seen anything like it before in his coaching career.

“He is a good example of how the team can function. He always has a good attitude during training and competitions. He is very important to us, also because of the counter-pressure he exerts. And also because of the way he prepares to score,” he told reporters.

“He has good dynamics with the ball and he played an extraordinary game. His attacking and defensive dynamics and his good technique are something special. I’ve never had a player like him and he helps us a lot.”

The Barcelona boss also praised Marc Casado, who also played a starring role and provided an assist with a beautiful ball to Raphinha.

“It’s incredible, when you know that Casadó comes from Barça Atlètic and you see the level he has now… He is incredibly good defensively and with the ball at his feet.

“It’s La Masia, it’s La Masia. Everyone in the stadium sees the quality of these players. When we had confidence in the second half you could see how we passed the ball around, it was unbelievable. Everyone was satisfied, including the staff.”

It’s been a great week for Barcelona so far, with wins against Sevilla and Bayern. Then a trip to the Bernabéu to take on Real Madrid.
