Vikings vs. Rams score, live updates: Minnesota looks to bounce back as Cooper Kupp era in Los Angeles could be coming to an end

The Minnesota Vikings fell from the ranks of the undefeated NFL, and the Los Angeles Rams no longer expected Cooper Kupp to play for the first time since Week 2, but instead considered trading their top receiver. A lot can change in just four days.

The Detroit Lions became the first team to defeat the Vikings 5-1 this year in a 31-29 shootout in Minneapolis on Sunday. The Vikings racked up nearly 150 rushing yards in that game — 93 of them and a touchdown from Aaron Jones — and they’ll look to hit the rock even more this week against a Rams defense that ranks 30th in the league against the run (and Aaron Donald doesn’t walk through that door).

The Rams may be looking to the future as the team is reportedly shopping Kupp on the trade market. They are reportedly looking to add a second-round pick and are willing to keep some of his salary for this season. Kupp hasn’t played for the 2-4 Rams since an ankle injury in Week 2, but coach Sean McVay expects him to be available for Thursday night’s game vs. Minnesota.

  • WRs Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua active for Rams

The Rams will have two big weapons in their passing game on Thursday night, with receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua both active.

Kupp has missed the Rams’ past four games after injuring his ankle in Week 2. Nacua hurt his knee in Week 1 and has been sidelined for the past five weeks.

As Frank Schwab writes, the Rams now face a number of decisions regarding their roster:

Thursday’s game could change the way the Rams think about the coming weeks, and it could also change the NFL landscape. There are reports that the Rams have discussed a Kupp trade with teams. Whether they win and improve on Thursday night to 3-4, or if they lose and fall to 2-5, could influence whether they become more aggressive in shopping Kupp – and perhaps even Stafford – or whether they hold on to him in the hope of a healthier offense will push them into the playoffs upon his return could also impact trade talks.”
