A few lucky Taylor Swift fans will score tickets to the three Eras Tour shows in New Orleans on Thursday, snagging tickets in a quietly released ticket drop on Ticketmaster.

Such surprise tickets are not new for the Eras Tour. Ticketmaster has been known to drop extra tickets after the artist’s team has finished setting up the stage, bringing in a few more seats than were originally sold.

Tickets were available for all three nights of the concert, with several thousand Swifties queuing for their chance at a seat.

The drops took place on all three nights of last week’s Miami shows and at a number of concert venues during the first US leg of the pop superstar’s tour.

Access to the ticket drop was limited to fans who received first-ever verified fan access to the New Orleans concert sale. That means not just anyone could line up for tickets.

More tickets could drop in the coming days for the other nights of Swift’s shows.

Resale ticket prices

For those who weren’t lucky enough to get a seat in the ticket drop, there are still plenty of Eras Tour tickets left on the secondary market, if you’re willing to spend a lot of money.

Most tickets in the Upper Terrace section were going for at least $1,200 on SeatGeek and StubHub as of Thursday.

Floor seats were offered for $2,000 to more than $4,500.
