The Dallas Mavericks open their 2024-25 campaign Thursday afternoon at the American Airlines Center.

The reigning Western Conference champions will face fellow Texas foe San Antonio Spurs and second-year sensation Victor Wembanyama. The season opener will also feature new Mavs additions in Klay Thompson, Quentin Grimes and Naji Marshall.

San Antonio finished 22-60 overall, 3-13 in Southwest Division action and 10-31 on the road last season. The Spurs averaged 112.1 points per game while shooting 46.2% from the field and 34.7% from behind the arc last season.
