Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post has endorsed a second Trump presidency.

The newspaper’s editors say the election is “one of the most consequential in the history of this great nation,” adding that the decision will “reverberate for decades.”

Citing concerns about the U.S. border, safe cities, the U.S. position on the world stage and gender, the Post says Trump is the “only” option.

The newspaper’s support for the former president is notable considering the paper relinquished Trump’s presidency in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. The editors wrote at the time that “Trump has proven himself unworthy to be the CEO of this country again.”

The Post’s editorial is one of several that have appeared recently: The New York Times endorsed Harris as “the only choice” for president — as did The Boston Globe.

The Los Angeles Times, meanwhile, has seen controversy over the lack of any endorsement.

LA Times owner Patrick Soon-Shiong refused to allow publication of an endorsement of Harris, leading to the resignation of editor Mariel Garza. Two other board members have also resigned, reports the American Semafor.
