Lil Durk has been arrested for his alleged role in a 2022 murder. The Chicago rapper, born Durk Banks, was booked by US Marshals in Broward County, Florida, and is being held without bail on a pending murder-for-hire charge. Rolling stone reported. Prior to Durk’s arrest, five members of his group, OTF, were also arrested in Los Angeles on various charges of murder-for-hire. Stand, including Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey and Asa Houston. The charges stem from the 2022 murder of rapper Quando Rondo’s cousin Lul Pab, born Saviay’a Robinson, at a West Hollywood gas station. Prosecutors allege the men were hired to kill Rondo, born Tyquian Terrel Bowman, for his alleged role in the 2020 killing of Chicago rapper King Von, an associate of Durk, in a shooting in Atlanta.

Durk, a Grammy winner, recently postponed his upcoming album, Deep thoughts. It was originally supposed to be released on October 18, before pushing it to November 22; it is now unclear whether the album will be released after his arrest. The rapper recently celebrated in a tweet that his record was “swept and clean.” “I am no longer a criminal,” he wrote. “Who would have thought that?”
