Christian Darrisaw will undergo season-ending knee surgery

After Thursday night’s game, Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell said the team was hoping for good news on left tackle Christian Darrisaw, who suffered a knee injury late in the second quarter.

Unfortunately for Minnesota, the club didn’t get it on Friday.

According to multiple reports, an MRI revealed that Darrisaw will require season-ending knee surgery.

Darrisaw went down after a run play and walked gingerly to the locker room with the trainers’ help.

The Vikings played left tackle David Quessenberry for the remainder of Thursday’s game.

“We’ll see what it looks like with CD and ultimately put a good plan in place,” O’Connell said Thursday evening. “Regardless of who is there, I have a lot of confidence in our guys.”

Darrisaw, a 2021 first-round pick, agreed to a four-year contract extension with Minnesota in late July. He played 46 games over the past four seasons.
