UFC 308 takes place this weekend at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi and is headlined by Ilia Topuria vs. Max Holloway.

The preliminary card is also high on drama as Rafael Dos Anjos takes on Geoff Neal and Father Time, and my preliminary UFC 308 predictions expect Neal to be victorious on October 26.

Aslan is a chunky but powerful striker who may not be much apart from being an entertaining addition, but he has proven himself far more than Cerqueira.

While Cerqueira enters this fight with an 11-0 record, he built it against terrible regional opposition in Brazil, and he’s in for a rude awakening that could see him hop on the next plane back to Sao Paolo.

Aslan will take the fight straight to Cerqueira, and his heavy strikes should lead to an early stoppage.

Unfortunately for Magomedov, he hasn’t shown the “Dagestan magic” that took over the UFC. He has struggled so far, being dominated by Caio Borralho and edged out by Sean Strickland in his biggest tests, while only picking up wins against lesser competition.

Ferreira, on the other hand, is an explosive striker who fights with reckless abandon, often putting himself in danger of a knockout as he chases down one of his own players.

While Magomedov has decent skills, I haven’t seen anything to suggest Ferreira will struggle to close the distance and have a great chance of putting him away.

This fight between a seasoned veteran and a former champion may not have major divisional implications, but it’s an intriguing matchup nonetheless.

Dos Anjos has bounced between lightweight and welterweight with mixed results, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that he’s rapidly declining, as evidenced by his recent losses to Mateusz Gamrot and Vicente Luque.

On the other hand, Neal is still capable of putting in solid performances against tough opponents, even though he has dropped his last two fights against Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Garry.

While Neal won’t cut it against the welterweight elite, he’s still capable and can’t be blamed for falling short against two potential title contenders. This version of Dos Anjos, on the other hand, doesn’t have much more to offer than that it can take a beating and still go to the extreme.
