Alabama vs Missouri: Live updates, injury report, scoring and more from Bryant-Denny Stadium

Alabama football is aiming for a win over Missouri, fresh off the Crimson Tide’s second loss of the season under new coach Kalen DeBoer.

No. 15 Alabama is in a playoff-like scenario. The country cannot afford another defeat if it wants to reach the first 12-team College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide has lost to No. 25 Vanderbilt and No. 7 Tennessee so far this season.

It will now face a No. 21 Missouri team that has lost just once this season: on the road to Texas A&M.

The game between the Crimson Tide and Tigers also marks the first home game for DeBoer, who took over for Nick Saban this season.

Kickoff is at 2:45 PM CT at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The match can be seen on ABC.

First quarter

— Missouri starts on offense. Jihaad Campbell gets a second-down sack to set up third-and-18. Then the third down pass is shorter than the first down pass. So the Tigers go three-and-out to start.

— 12:53 Alabama takes over at its own 21-yard line. It looked like the Crimson Tide would have to go for a third and short attempt right away, but a post-play facemask gives the Crimson Tide a 15-yard gain and a new set of downs.

— On the next first down, Cole Adams suffers an injury and has to go to the injury tent. On the next play, Kendrick Law first runs 21 yards down the left side.

— On third-and-5 from Missouri’s 25-yard line, Alabama runs a toss play for a loss. The Crimson Tide will attempt a field goal. Graham Nicholson converts the 47-yard field goal attempt into a field goal Alabama leads Missouri 3-0 with 8:50 to go in the first quarter.
