    Browns linebacker immobilized and carted off the field in the third quarter of the Ravens game

    CLEVELAND, Ohio – Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was carted off the field in the third quarter of the Browns’ game against the Ravens on Sunday.

    He was ruled out due to a neck injury and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, but he had movement in all his limbs.

    The cart came out for Owusu-Koramoah on a tackle attempt on Ravens running back Derrick Henry at the end of a 10-yard run. Owusu-Koramoah led with his head and shoulder in an attempt to score the goal with 40 seconds left in the quarter.

    Medical staff immobilized him and strapped him to a backboard as Brown’s teammates circled him and fans chanted “JOK.”

    He first held up his right hand and pumped it as the cart left the field.

    Owusu-Koramoah is in his fourth season with the Browns after they selected him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He signed a three-year, $39 million contract extension over the summer.
