Buffalo Bills at Seattle Seahawks first half open thread

The Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks are ready to kick off, and that means we’re all ready to enjoy the ride for the next few hours. With a win, Buffalo would move to 6-2, maintaining strong control of the AFC East Division. Seattle can move to 5-3 with a win and maintain control of the NFC West Division.

The last time these teams met was in 2020, and there was plenty of foul play. Buffalo ultimately won a shootout and outlasted a strong Seattle squad in a 44-34 win. That match took place in the friendly confines of Highmark Stadium. For the last time these teams met in Seattle, we have to travel back in time to the era of Rex Ryan and Tyrod Taylor. Buffalo nearly lost one, dropping a 31-25 game that could have been very different if not for a ridiculous chain of events at the end of the first half.

This time, Josh Allen will look to lead a Buffalo offense that seemed to be finding its way against a tough Tennessee Titans defense last week. For Seattle, quarterback Geno Smith will be without its top receiver as DK Metcalf will miss the game due to a knee injury he suffered last week.

Your first semi-open thread is here, friends. Make sure you are polite to each other. Set the comments to ‘oldest’ for the classic game thread feel. And most importantly, enjoy the game wherever you look.

Go Bills!
