Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe Spits Despicable Racism During Trump’s NYC Rally

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday began with comedian Tony Hinchcliffe — of the comedy podcast Kill Tony — calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of trash,” among other xenophobic and biased punchlines. The ‘quip’ did not seem to land among the crowd present.

Hinchcliffe went on to make a crude sexual slur against Latino immigrants, joking that they should all leave the country.

“These Latinos love making babies too, you just know it. They do. They do. There is no question of retreating,” he said. “They don’t. They are coming in, just like they did to our country.”

He also delved into racist stereotypes for black people and played into anti-Semitic tropes when discussing the war between Gaza and Israel for a relatively short period of time.

HuffPost reporter Christopher Mathias, among those in attendance, called it “shockingly racist, even for a Trump rally.”

NPR reporter Danielle Kurtzleben, meanwhile, quoted the comedian comparing Travis Kelce to OJ Simpson.

Hinchcliffe said, “Republicans are the party with a good sense of humor.”

Kill Tony, Hinchcliffe’s comedy show with 1.8 million YouTube subscribers, features new and established comedians. Jokes often veer towards the vulgar side, where racist and sexist humor occurs regularly.

“I don’t normally reveal my political beliefs,” Hinchcliffe said at the meeting. “It’s divisive when a comedian does that. But just know that I sleep well at night knowing who I’m voting for.”

“It is clear to me who the right candidate is,” Hinchcliffe continued. He then called Trump’s shot in the ear “the best place to get shot.”
