49ers’ Samuel and Kittle are in line to meet Cowboys, sources say

The San Francisco 49ers are expected to have both wide receiver Deebo Samuel and tight end George Kittle for Sunday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Both Samuel (wrist, illness) and Kittle (foot) are officially listed as questionable for the game but will likely play, a boost for a Niners team that lost Brandon Aiyuk to a season-ending knee injury last weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs and will also be without fellow receiver Jauan Jennings as he continues to deal with a hip injury.

Samuel was hospitalized for an illness that revealed fluid in his lungs after playing just four snaps against the Chiefs. He remained in the hospital until Tuesday, was at practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday and Friday.

Kittle, who is dealing with a foot sprain, also practiced Wednesday before returning on a limited basis Thursday and Friday.

Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir (illness) and safety George Odum (knee) remain questionable for San Francisco (3-4), which could move back to .500 with a win against the visiting Cowboys.
