Tyler, the creator’s latest studio album CHROMAKOPIA has arrived.

The 14-song project lasts almost an hour and features contributions from Doechii, GloRilla, Daniel Caesar, Thundercat, Willow Smith, Teezo Touchdown, Donald Glover, Lil Wayne, Sexyy Red, ScHoolboy Q and more. The sequel to that of 2021 Call me if you’re lost It is believed to have been inspired by Chroma the Great, a conductor of the late Norton Juster’s The haunted toll booth who creates colors with his orchestra – which may explain the artist’s use of monochromatic colors during this album cycle.

CHROMAKOPIA hears that Tyler is still attached to his rap roots, but has now ventured into a more expansive realm of music, utilizing more obscure and hidden samples spread throughout the songs. This attention to musical detail works more to his advantage than against him, and this is no surprise when you look at the artist’s career; HYBRID is in a completely different sonic space compared to Call me if you’re lost and Tyler himself has never been the type to shy away from his creative growth. Unapologetic and as artistic as ever, the only question now is whether or not his listeners will join him on this sonic adventure.
