CeeDee Lamb was unhappy with the Dallas Cowboys’ continued lack of success against the San Francisco 49ers after a 30-24 loss at Sunday night football.

“It really sucks,” Lamb told ESPN’s Todd Archer. ‘Especially because I’ve been here three times in the last three years. It’s sickening.’

The star wide receiver bounced back from a relatively slow start to the year in the loss, rushing for a season-high 146 yards and two touchdowns on 13 catches. He made repeated plays in the second half and nearly helped Dallas erase a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Lamb caught both of his touchdown passes within the final 15 minutes of playing time, cutting the 49ers’ lead to just six points and returning the ball with about three minutes left in regulation time.

The Cowboys could not gain any yards and, however, were forced to kick the ball back to San Francisco. The 49ers picked up a first down before Brock Purdy took a knee to end the game.

With the victory, San Francisco won its fourth consecutive game against Dallas and its third at home. The four-game losing streak also includes playoff matches in 2021 and 2022.

Despite the Cowboys’ inconsistency this season, Lamb’s improved play is a plus. After racking up 218 yards and a touchdown in his first three appearances, the 25-year-old racked up 395 yards and three scores over the team’s next four games.

His 613 receiving yards are the third most of any player in the NFL.

After falling to 3-4 with Sunday’s loss, the Cowboys will look to bounce back in a Week 9 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
