SPARKS, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — All classes at Spanish Springs High School will be canceled Oct. 28 due to significant flood damage from a broken water main.

The following message was sent to families on Monday morning:

This is a message on behalf of Director Sean Hall, with important information to share with you:

Spanish Springs High School suffered significant damage from flooding due to a broken sprinkler. Our cleaning crews and facilities management staff are working to clean the school and ensure it is safe for our students and staff to return to classes.

Unfortunately we have to cancel school for today, Monday October 28th, so that the damage can be accessed and repaired.

Once again, classes for Monday, October 28 are canceled due to flooding at the school.
