Exhibition season has arrived for Lobo basketball

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The college basketball season is just around the corner and the Lobo men’s and women’s basketball teams are already working on the preseason. Both teams have already met an opponent in some capacity.

The general feeling from both sides is that test matches are positive and that more could follow in the coming years.

“As a coach, it’s hard to see everything,” Richard Pitino said. “So it’s so much easier to teach when you see that this is what this team did and this is how we’re going to respond to it.”

“The good news is (we) are better than I thought (we would) be, so that was good,” Mike Bradbury said. “Offensively we were, I don’t want to say we were good, but offensively we were not bad. We have a lot of work to do defensively. The good news is that a lot of it can be corrected.”

The men’s team has an exhibition game scheduled for Monday night against UTEP at the Pit, while the women will play an exhibition game against Western Colorado on Saturday.
