Early voting began in Oklahoma on Wednesday, and many in Oklahoma County were eager to cast their ballots in person.

Before the Oklahoma County Board of Elections opened the polls at 8 a.m., dozens of voters waited in a line that stretched across the parking lot.

More than 33,000 people have voted early in Oklahoma County so far as of 12:30 p.m., according to election officials. Four years ago, about 21,000 people had voted this time around noon on the first day of in-person early voting.

Voters who want to cast their ballots before Election Day can do so until Saturday. Here’s what you need to know:

What time is early voting open? When can I vote early?

In-person early voting ends on Saturday, just three days before the election.

  • Wednesday, October 30 – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Thursday, October 31 – 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Friday, November 1 – 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Saturday, November 2 – 8am to 2pm

Early voting in Oklahoma County

Oklahoma County will have two locations open during the early voting period, which ends Saturday:

  • Oklahoma County Board of Elections; 4201 N Lincoln, Oklahoma City
  • MAC center (multi-activities); 2733 Marilyn Williams, Edmond

Early voting in Cleveland County

  • MNTC South Penn Campus; 13301 S Pennsylvania Ave., Oklahoma City
  • Moore Public Library; 225S Howard, Moore
  • Noble Public Library; 204 N Fifth, hon
  • Previous shopping center; 3301 W Main, Norman

Early voting in Canadian County

  • Canadian Valley Technology Center – Cowan Campus; 1701 S Czech Hall Road, Yukon
  • El Reno Public Safety Center; 2707 Faith, El Reno
