Meta Platforms Inc. forecast stronger-than-expected sales during the holiday quarter and said the company’s heavy investments in artificial intelligence also helped improve its core advertising business.

Meta told investors on Wednesday that sales for the current quarter would be in the range $45 billion and $48 billion. Analysts had expected fourth-quarter revenue of $46 billion.
