David Ortiz made sure this Yankees star’s comment didn’t go away

The Yankees got the job done in Game 4 of the World Series as they hope to make shocking history.

New York defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday in a pre-game and mid-game drama filled with two fans and Mookie Betts at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees know they are playing with house money and that’s why they don’t feel the pressure of being down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series.

“I still think we can shock the world,” Jazz Chisholm Jr. said. to reporters, according to FOX Sports. “The one thing about us is that we love history, and we love making history. For us, we are now trying to make history. We know it’s never done, a 3-0 comeback. But we feel like we are the team that can do it.”

Eagle-eyed Boston Red Sox fans might raise an eyebrow at Chisholm’s line. And franchise legend David Ortiz made sure to shout it out.

“Did he say it was never done?” Ortiz asked during the FOX postgame show.

World series. Never done that before in the World Series,” Kevin Burkhardt told Ortiz. “We know you did it. We commend you for that.”

Ortiz burst out laughing at Burkhardt’s last comment, and Alex Rodriguez joked that there have been four documentaries about the 2004 American League Championship Series. Ortiz still couldn’t resist finding another way to portray Rodriguez and Derek Jeter on the FOX postgame show.
