Bronny James made his second NBA appearance on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Los Angeles Lakers rookie checked in during the fourth quarter to a big round of applause from Cavaliers fans. His first NBA appearance came in the Lakers’ season opener when he checked in briefly in the first half.

Moments after entering the game, James recorded his first career points on a stepback jumper.

After the bucket, fans applauded James for collecting his first career points.

Bronny’s first NBA points are in Cleveland, that’s pretty crazy!

James hasn’t seen much action in his young NBA career thus far. He played just three minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves last week, recording a rebound and missing both of his shot attempts.

He played five minutes on Wednesday and recorded two points, a pair of assists and a steal.

It was a special moment for James when he got the opportunity to play and score his first points against the team he grew up watching his father, LeBron James, play for. The elder James spent the first seven years of his career in Cleveland and played four more seasons for the Cavs after his time with the Miami Heat.

He led Cleveland to five NBA Finals appearances and delivered the franchise its first championship in 2016.

While James would probably have preferred to be on the board for the first time last week, there’s nothing like scoring for the first time in your hometown.

Unfortunately, the circumstances for his first basket were less than ideal, as the Lakers lost in a big way to the Cavs. James will look to build on his performance on Wednesday and eventually become a regular contributor for Los Angeles.
