Texans vs. Jets Scoring, Live Updates: CJ Stroud and Houston head to New York for Thursday Night Football

The Houston Texans’ 2024 start picks up where the 2023 season left off. Houston won the AFC South last year and has a two-game lead in the division over the Colts at midseason, and the Texans have already swept Indianapolis, so they have the tiebreaker over the only other team in the division without a losing record. CJ Stroud is once again among the league leaders in passing yards, but he will be without one of his top targets for the rest of the year with Stefon Diggs out with a torn ACL.

The Jets, who were looking for a shot in the arm when they traded for Davante Adams a few weeks ago, have lost five straight games after starting 2-1 and find themselves at the bottom of the AFC East. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich is looking for answers after a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots, who recorded just their second win of the season in that game. Adams has yet to make a big impact for the Jets, with seven catches for 84 yards, and his third week reunited with Aaron Rodgers could be another tough night at the office, with Houston boasting third-best in the NFL.
