    Devin Booker scored 40 points and Kevin Durant added 18 en route to leading the Phoenix Suns to a 125-119 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.

    Royce O’Neale scored 21 points off the bench for the 4-1 Suns, who allowed 70 points in the first half and trailed by as many as 21 points before staging a successful comeback.

    O’Neale hit the biggest shot of the game, knocking down a three with 45 seconds left for a 118-112 lead.

    Rookie Ryan Dunn scored 16 points and veteran point guard Tyus Jones added 11 assists for Phoenix, which played without guard Bradley Beal (right elbow sprain).

    Phoenix’s sharp shooting got the job done, with the Suns making 51.2 percent of their shots and 18 of 39 threes. Notably, Phoenix made its first fifteen field goal attempts in the third quarter.

    Clippers point guard James Harden led LA with a triple-double of 25 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds. Norman Powell scored 23 points and Ivica Zubac added a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds.

    The Suns ultimately won a tough game and tied for second place in the West with the Golden State Warriors.

    Fans and analysts recognized their impressive effort, led by Booker, who shot 11 of 18 (5 of 9 from three) and added eight assists and three steals.
