RALEIGH, N.C. — — Jack Roslovic and Andrei Svechnikov each scored twice and the Carolina Hurricanes returned home for the first time in more than two weeks to beat the Boston Bruins 8-2 on Thursday night for their fifth straight victory.

Carolina scored three times in a span of 52 seconds in the first period with four goals.

Martin Necas had a goal and an assist, Dmitry Orlov, Sean Walker and Jesperi Kotkaniemi also scored and Seth Jarvis had two assists. Pyotr Kochetkov made 13 saves.

Roslovic scored 6:28 into the match. After Marchand tied the score, the Hurricanes got quick goals from Svechnikov, Orlov and Necas, two of them on power plays.

Takeaways

Bruins: Boston had just seven shots late in the second period, while the Hurricanes at the other end fired attempts on net after already scoring six goals.

Hurricanes: Carolina eclipsed the four-goal mark for the first time this season. It is the first time this season that Carolina has had a player with more than one goal in a game.
