Young Thug has been released after more than two years behind bars in a new deal. “I take full responsibility for my crimes and for my charges. I want to say sorry to my family, my mother,” the 33-year-old said in a statement in court prior to his release, via the outlet.

“I’m a smart guy, I’m a good guy, and I really have a good heart, you know. I get into a lot of things because I was just nice or cool,” he continued. “I hope you’ll allow me to go home today and trust me to do the right thing… I promise I’ll never find myself in situations like this again.”
