Martha Stewart says Ryan Reynolds ‘isn’t that funny in real life’: ‘He’s very serious’

Ryan Reynolds may be known for his signature sense of humor, but Martha Stewart claims he’s not really funny.

The domestic diva shared her thoughts about the Deadpool and Wolverine star when she served as a special guest for Bilt Rewards’ November Rent for free game show.

When asked which celebrities her respondents thought they would most enjoy hanging out with, she told Ankur Jain, CEO and founder of Bilt, that she was confident her good friend Snoop Dogg was on the list.

She then said that Reynolds probably won the award, although she doesn’t think he should have.

“He’s probably on the list just because he covers himself in his movies and you don’t see his face – Ryan Reynolds, is he one of them?” she asked.

‘And do you want to know something? He’s not that funny in real life,” she insisted. ‘No, he’s not that funny. He is very serious.”

Stewart revealed that her choice would have been Brad Pitt and George Clooney, adding: “I would love to hang out with those guys.”

When Jain mentioned Taylor Swift, Stewart responded, “All I was thinking about was men. Taylor Swift is beautiful.”

Stewart then said she would put Swift first on the list, followed by Snoop Dogg.

“Then I would take Ryan off and put someone else in,” she continued.

Jain asked who she would add, and she replied, “George Clooney, because he’s fun. George is a lot of fun to be around.”

When Jain said he was surprised to hear she didn’t find Reynolds funny, she further clarified her stance on the star, who shares a home with wife Blake Lively in Bedford, NY, near Stewart’s own farm.

“He’s a good actor,” she acknowledged. ‘He can be funny, but he’s not funny. Maybe he can become funny again.

“I’m going to get in trouble,” she added. “He’s my neighbor.”

Stewart appeared on the game show to promote her new cookbook, Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, with lessons and stories from my kitchenreleased on October 22.

The premiere of MartaRJ Cutler’s new Netflix documentary that chronicles the events of the culinary icon’s legendary life.

“I just hope that everyone gets some life lessons from the movie and understands what’s going on,” Stewart told PEOPLE at the film’s New York premiere.
