Aaron Rodgers discussed the prioritization of aid to other countries by national politicians and organizations, especially with Ukraine

Jets from New York quarterback Aaron Rodgers seemed to throw shade at LeBron James on The Pat McAfee Show at ESPN. The conversation revolved around the election and politics as a whole, using terminology related to the “trade deadline.” Rodgers talked about the foreign aid money UkraineHow FEMA has mismanaged the latest storms to hit his state and talked about celebrity endorsements of major sports brands. He doesn’t say who he’s referring to; because James is known for going about his business and saying nothing about human issues in China.

Aaron Rodgers’ interview on The Pat McAfee Show before Election Day focused on the New York Jets’ comeback win. Despite his efforts to stay focused, Rodgers was interrupted twice by military aircraft conducting practice flights prior to the Penn State-Ohio State game. The interview was broadcast from Beaver Stadium in Pennsylvania. Rodgers noted that the flyover raised another $2 million, before adding, “It’s $2 million that we’re not sending to Ukraine, so that’s fine.”

McAfee’s two-hour ESPN slot ended, but Rodgers returned to YouTube as the show continued. “I just want to clarify one comment I made because there is a big Ukrainian flag flying at 1 Jets Drive,” he said. “I have no problem with Ukraine at all. I just think there are a lot of problems in the United States that maybe $180 billion could help instead of waging a proxy war. Just to capture that.”
He continued, “You know, just like natural disasters, FEMA is confiscating bottled water and food supplies from people trying to help. Maybe let’s help those people. Clearly, FEMA doesn’t have the best track record if you go back to 2005 and Katrina. But I think there are a lot of problems in the United States and people who are hurt could use more than, I don’t know, what they just spent? $600, $700? Come on.”
“$750, $750, $750,” McAfee interjected. “And you also go back to Hawaii and what happened with the fires there. We all agree. I think anyone with common sense would agree with that. Understand that the United States of America has to look out for people and all that, but we also have to look out for our people when something happens.”
Rodgers concluded his appearance criticizing swing voters for being swayed by celebrity endorsements after discussing Ukraine aid versus disaster relief. “If you don’t know what to do at the trade deadline, just ask your favorite celebrity,” Rodgers said.
